MEET THE TEAM
Freddie & Friends Sunshine Stop was founded by Katie & Jo in 2018.

Freddie and Friends are an additional needs non profit community organisation, providing parent/carer support groups and activity days.

We have been working hard to promote our causes. While there is always more that can be done to help those in need in our community, there’s no doubt that we are making a significant impact.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) number: 10609690

A little more about Freddie & Friends Staff and Volunteers
Jo
I have 3 boys, my eldest is Autistic. After running my own business for many years and seeing the lack of opportunities for people with additional needs, together with Katie we sat down and created a vision for an inclusive community space.
Katie
Mum to 3 children. My eldest child was born premature & at 18 months old he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. When Jo & I realised there was a lack of accessible & inclusive support services within our Town we knew we wanted to be part of a positive change for our Children and local additional needs community.

Lyn
I volunteer with Freddie and Friends because my daughter has special needs and I’m keen to ensure there is choice for families who are in the same situation.
Cilla
I help at Freddie and friends because I appreciate the need for local groups. When my disabled son was younger we had to travel out of town to access support.
Mary
I was head of Special needs in an all boys school and realised there was a need in the community for children and adults with special needs. I believe Jo and Katie are helping address that need and I am really happy to help them achieve this
Rachel
I have 3 children. My eldest child has Adhd. I joined Freddie and Friends as I was finding it difficult to find groups that would accept us.

Liz
I am a mum and foster mum to 2 girls who have additional needs, I am happy to help Jo and Katie with Freddie and Friends and take the vision forwards.
